Creative Writing: From Calling to Craft

Whether you attended our initial creative writing session or not, you are more than welcome to join us for our second class, as we continue to acknowledge the story within us, but also move more fully into how we may craft these stories. This will be a workshop in the true sense of the word, with the opportunity to revisit the importance of calling and voice, but with added time for independent writing and/or providing and receiving positive, productive feedback. We will determine the genre our stories best adhere to, based on purpose and approach, and how to best structure our stories accordingly. Whether you wish to write fiction or nonfiction, poetry or prose, you are welcome to this very hands-on session of collaboration.
Workshop includes:
- Small but mighty mini notebook
- A pen
- Sticky note set for use with workshopping
- Instructional packet for use in class and at home
- 10% off in-store purchases the day of the event
Each workshop is hosted in the Belle & Union San Antonio shop and studio, unless otherwise noted. Space is limited for each workshop, and seats are sold on a first come, first served basis. Participants are recommended to be ages 16 or older. All workshop sales are final and non-refundable.
